Herbert W. Laine has been an attorney since 1971, assisting clients in a variety of legal issues. For the past 25 years, he has focused on family law and criminal defense while providing other legal services to his clients. He handles divorce, custody and visitation, child support, as well as other family law topics. Many of his clientele come from Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, and Norfolk, Virginia. Mr. Laine also offers quality representation in criminal defense, DUI, personal injury, and related litigation. Before entering private practice, Mr. Laine worked as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for Chesapeake, Virginia. He is admitted to practice in the Virginia state trial and appellate courts, the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Virginia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals 4th Circuit.
Mr. Laine earned his Juris Doctor at the University of Virginia in 1971. He also has a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the Virginia Military Institute.
